Brindishe Green School Street

The Brindishe Green school street restricts motor vehicles at school times on Beacon Road and Ardmere Road.

The road will restrict non exempted vehicular traffic from the junction of Hither Green Lane between 8.30 – 9.30am and 2.45 – 3.45pm Monday to Friday during term time only. The boundary point will be supported by signage advising the times of the closure, and advanced warning signage will also be in place.

Beacon Road will be enforced by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera at the junction with Hither Green Lane. A No Entry will be enforced at the junction with Nightingale Grove

Ardmere Road will be restricted by ANPR at the junction with Nightingale Grove.

There will be an exemption for residents who live within the zone, however we would encourage you to avoid using your vehicle during the hours of school street operation, if possible, to maximise the benefits of the scheme. In addition to the School Street a contra flow cycle lane will be added for cyclists.

If you live within the School Street closure you can apply for an exemption permit. Please note that if you live within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) and already have a CPZ permit, you will still have to apply for a School Street permit. A parking permit does not automatically allow access in to the School Street during the closure period.
